An internationally acclaimed gym designer and developer, City Athletic Club was unveiled in 2011. Christened as one of “the hot young guns transforming the gym scene” by Inc. Magazine, Jea’s projects are trademarked by luxurious amenities, stunning décor, and cutting edge equipment. Already ranked among Forbes “America’s Best Gyms”, his latest creation quickly became the hottest fitness destination in Sin City.
The son of legendary Tae Kwon Do Grandmaster Woo Jin Jung, Jea immigrated to the United States with his family from South Korea. Bodybuilding from the age of 15, he became one of the youngest Heavyweight Champions in history and went on to capture four Heavyweight Titles before retiring in 2010. He was the first American to be invited to the Body Building World Qualifier held in his hometown of Seoul, Korea.
After a successful fitness career and hundreds of magazine appearances, Jea founded and created what has become the epicenter of international gym culture. Celebrities, world class athletes, and all walks of media converge on this Las Vegas hot spot on a daily basis.
